Pastor Brown has been with First Christian since 2001. Previous to that he served as the associate minister at
First Christian Church in Ashland, Ohio. He has a wonderful wife of nearly 20 years, Cindy. They have two daughters
April, Erica and two sons Jacob and a son, Jesse, who was born in March of 2007. They are a great joy and gift of the
Lord. Pastor Brown graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary with a Master's in Divinity in 2001. He, also,
has a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Wright State University and a Bachelor's in music from Ohio University.
Previous to his years in ministry he was a rehabilitation counselor, group home manager, and job placement specialist, and
activity coordinator serving persons with mental retardation and other physical and emotional difficulties.
Presently Pastor Brown is actively involved in the Massillon Area Clergy Association and prays weekly with area pastors
for the transformation of churches and renewal of the entire county. He serves on the Transformation Ministry Team with
the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ohio. He is, also, the Coordinator of the Western Stark County Task Force
on Homelessness and serves on the Stark County Interagency Council on Homelessness. He is, also, a board member with
Faith in Action of Western Stark County. Pastor Brown's passion is to encourage spiritual transformation in the church,
the community and individuals lives.
He loves camping, fishing, spending time with his family, singing and playing guitar which he does during worship on
some occasions.
