Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

Psalm 1:1

The Hearthstone Adult Sunday School will be meeting through the summer and would like to invite you to join them in the Library following worship.

THANK YOU MARTY!

Many thanks are extended to Marty Hudzik for his wonderful work directing and filming our Capital Campaign promotion video.  Marty is a professional videotographer and his work reveals just how talented he is!  Also, many thanks to the enthusiastic actors and to Wayne Maddy, the pastor of Tree of Life Ministries and John Stallings from Massillon Nazarene Church who served as hosts on the movie.  It is so great to have these two wonderful ministry partners!

THANK YOU NOTES

We would like to thank the women from the CCW who helped with the Rummage Sale.  The money raised will be a blessing to the church

I would like to thank you for all the cards and prayers during my recent illness and surgeries.

Jim Emmons

Thank you to everyone who sent birthday cards to Joan and sympathy cards to both Joan and Dick for the lost of our son-in-law, Howard Cline.  We appreciate your caring.

Dick and Joan Johnson

Wayne and I would like to thank the church for their cards of sympathy and their support during our mother's illness.  And we would like to thank Pastor Tim for his visits that were a big help to us during these months of testing our faith.  A big thanks for the support.

Wayne and Mary Black

We would like to thank the choir and music director, Dave Zavasky, for their uplifting music over the past 9 months.  We will be anxiously awaiting your return in the fall after your well deserved summer break.

The church would like to thank Carl and Donna Laughlin for donating their riding mower to the church.  It was a welcomed gift and will cut our mowing time in half.  Thank you again.

(If anyone could help mow grass during the summer months, please contact Augie Bennett or Greg Moore.)

Warehouse Ministry
to Benefit Massillon Residents
and Agencies.

Presently we are investigating and making plans to engage in a new and exciting ministry outreach for our community.  We are planning to help area individuals and agencies by collecting, storing and give away furniture, large appliances, and medical items such as wheelchairs.  Many of the area agencies have mentioned the great need for these items especially for those who are moving out of places like homeless shelters into homes or apartments.  Others have needs following major crises' like fires and we all know that the present economy makes it very difficult to pay for quality items necessary for the home.  Area agencies and city officials have said that people have tried to make donations of these types of items but there is no location to store items.  For instance the homeless shelter in town often has people who would like to make donations but they don't have room and if they had the room they would be using the space to house persons in need since there are usually more than 30 on their waiting list.  Other agencies have similar limitations.

Our desire is to store items in the basement under the fellowship Hall.  We also plan to have a data base to keep track of each item as it comes in and leaves.  A team of workers will have a schedule where community agencies can make appointments for individuals to look at items they need.  We are presently writing grants for this ministry and working with area agencies to establish the guidelines for the program.  If you are interested in helping to put together this ministry, please contact the pastor or Barb Baker who will be coordinating this program.  We would like to start in the fall.  More information will be coming in the future.
