Volunteer Gardeners Needed!!

If you are able to help with yard work at the church, we are posting a work list on the door to the garage so you can come at your convenience.  During the day the garage key is available from the office to get tools.  If you come after office hours, you should bring your own tools.

One Call Telephone Service

When you receive a call from the church reminding you of events, meetings or of someone needing prayer and you would like to have the message repeated, just call 1-877-698-3261 and follow the directions.  You may have the message repeated as many times as you need.

Secret Place Devotionals
The Secret Place Devotionals for the summer months of June, July and August are available.  They are located on the bookstand in the main hallway by the drinking fountain.  Please take one to use for your devotional time this summer.

Sympathy Extended

Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family of George Kear who died on June 1.  George was a faithful servant who loved the Lord and now goes to spend eternity with Him.

Sympathy is extended to Carolyn and Joe Kertes on the death of Carolyn's brother, Robert Rogers.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Habitat for Humanity for Greater Stark and Carroll County is beginning to build in Massillon and the Massillon area churches are helping out with the building, and providing meals for the workers on Saturdays throughout the summer.  Our church is planning their second work day for August 9.  Again we will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  At this time we aren't sure of the location we will be working at, but please mark your calendar with the date and we will have more information later.

FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH LIBRARY

Did you know that the church has a wonderful small library for all members to visit and check out books?  It's located on the main level just past the nursery.  Marge Garman with the help of Patti Ralls and Phyllis Hale have been organizing and putting cards and labels on the books.  You can stop in the library at anytime Monday through Friday, 9am-2pm.  Just come in the office entrance.  After church is a great time to stop as well.  Contact the office if you want to stop at another time so we can get you in.  If you want to bring in books as donations to the library please drop them off in the Donations/Book Return.

Also, as a part of the Library Ministry we have a shelf of books in the hall by the drinking fountain.  We keep changing the books on the cart, so check these out as well.  On the bottom shelf we have a place for you to bring in a book or devotional booklet to share with someone else after you have read it.  If you find a book on the bottom shelf that you like, keep it as long as you would like.  You do not need to check those materials out.  If you have any questions, please call Marge Garman.
